| Roberta to Kostya:By the way you just had a birthday so I want to ask this question. Do you have any problem with people knowing your age, and do you find many others do as well. I have a friend "not the only one" that seems to really have a problem in this area to the point of anger when one finds out. I wrote her this below to try and help.
May I share one of my thoughts with you.
I think of age in a different way now mostly due to not knowing if I will get old, older or really old. I celebrate every year I reach, look in the mirror at myself and say "DANG YOU LOOK GOOD" and get better looking every year.
Someone I know and most others around me on the docks don't like birthdays and like you keep there age a secret I blurt mine out when they tease me and tell them I AM PROUD OF MY AGE and will continue to do so. I haven't always been like this but since I have it has made my life alot easier to look forward to, besides it also gives people nothing to tease me about because they have no fear of mine to work with.
just my thoughts Kostya to Roberta:I felt very young when I came to Moscow -- I look young and nobody knew my age. Now my friends have found out, were surprized and now I begin to feel older -- it's like they project it on me.
Feeling younger felt pretty good. |
